Hispanic Heritage Month
![]() |
September 15 marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month. This year, OMH will celebrate the culture, achievements and contributions of Hispanics and Latinos in the United States while also raising awareness about the health disparities impacting their community.
Health disparities continue to affect the health of Hispanics/Latinos and have left them vulnerable to the impacts of COVID-19. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has collected health equity considerations for racial and ethnic minority groups to address the social determinants of health that put them at an increased risk for contracting the virus.
Visit the OMH Hispanic Heritage Month webpage for more information, downloadable materials and resources throughout the month.
