Choices Peer Recovery Trainings Completes inspiring Hope with Exeter Rotary. Choices is honored to have been chosen as the training model for Exeter Rotary’s Inspiring Hope Scholarship for Recovery Coaching, for their 2019 funding project which was aimed at strengthening the community with peer recovery and recovery 101 education.
Founder and trainer, Ginger Ross, said, “as a person in recovery, it is powerful to see key community stakeholders come together and rally up to educate their communities on what addiction is and what recovery is. Often times, it takes nothing more than this education to create a movement and improve the lives of individuals, families, and communities.”
24 students have received recovery coach working training and 11 have taken all the courses to qualify to test for certification.
Scholarship recipients are from Exeter Police, Good Samaritans, student counselors from SAU 16, parents of children with substance use disorder, people in recovery, community recovery centers, sober houses, community centers and recovery friendly workplace programs.
We would like to thank the Exeter Rotary for all their hard work and we look forward to working together!
