Peer Recovery Coaches possess powerful experiential knowledge that can aid others in initiating and sustaining recovery.
This Course is designed to harness the power of the experiential knowledge and combine it with research and knowledge to provide the necessary skills to become an effective and ethical recovery coach.
Participants will gain a strong foundation of the roles of a peer recovery coach and how the roles are different from other traditional and existing support methods. Participants will be introduced to the many concepts and skills involved in effective recovery coaching and prepare them for professional roles to serve their communities as peer support advocates.

Meet Ginger Ross, Your Peer Recovery Coach Trainer.
Choices Peer Recovery Coach Trainings was founded in 2018 by Ginger Ross. She has authored all of the trainings offered by Choices, Peer Recovery Support Trainings.
In 2019, after her work in the field as program manager for some state funded peer coach programs, specifically, Sober Parenting Journey, Strength To Succeed, while also still providing trainings, she decided to create her own Peer Recovery Coach Training
Choices Peer Coach Recovery Trainings pioneer the way in bridging the gap between addiction, abuse and recovery by supporting peer recovery coaches on their journeys forward, providing the foundation required to realize their potential and sustain success in this critical, but challenging field.

This training, in it's entirety is 30 hours of continuing education hours. Particpants must attend all days for certificate.
Choices Trainings are approved for Initial Certification and continuing education in Florida, NH, and National Association for Addiction Drug Counselors (NAADAC) - pre approved in AL, AK, AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, HI, ID, IA, MD, MI, MS, NC, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, TN, VT, WV

Pre-approval for continuing education in AL, AK, AZ, AR, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NC, ND, NM, NY, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WI, WV, WY and Iowa
This training is the foundational training for most state's Peer credential, as well as the National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (NCPRSS) credential.
